Even
if it is -
seemingly -
easy to copy -
here is the
better
original.
See
for yourself -
or you will
remember this
during
assembly...
You
can, of
course, ask
the question
of whether a
new 45-year
old VHF device
should
be
equipped with
new RCA
sockets.
But
take a look at
the structure
of the tuner:
This
rather gives
the impression
of being a
carefully
designed
measuring
instrument
than a "radio
part" for the
stereo system.
And that is
why this
device is
worth
receiving new
RCA sockets.

The
Pievox
A76_Mute
switch-on
delay avoids
the "crack"
when switching
on and mutes
immediately
when switched
off.
Installation
is not
difficult as
the parts are
ready for
installation.
An
installation
report for the
A76_Mute
module can be
called up in
advance here:

If you have
the Revox A76
ever "on the
table" it is
also advised,
to replace the
after about 45
years mostly
oxidized
antenna
socket.
This is not
only an
aesthetic
issue, the
silver oxide
does not
conduct the
current
as well as one
from relay -
and other
switch
contacts is
known.
In
short:
"Good jacks do
not make the
sound better,
but bad jacks
make it
worse."

Revox devices
- now for

A77 and A50 /
A78 amplifier
are
available.
Further sets
are in
preparation -
or on request.
The
main advantage
of this Pievox-set
is,
that here the
replacement of
the bushings
can be
mounted
without great
mechanical
work as they
fit 1:1 into
the devices
cutout.

The
fastening is
by screws -
No
blind rivets,
which require
the possession
of this tool
and is also
somewhat
"a
little fiddly"
in the
application to
fix the plate
in the perfect
position of
the bushes
in
the cutout.
For this you
would need
four hands.
In the
selected
method with
countersunk
head screws,
the sockets
automatically
pull
into
the correct
position in
the cutout.
Without a
doubt a very
pleasant.
The
sockets are
ready mounted
and are
secured
against
loosening.
The sockets
are secured
against turn
movement using
a strong
industrial
glue agent.
So also
removing a
tight
connector by
turn out will
not loose the
RCA socket
screw-nut!
The
distance of
the sockets is
enhanced to 13
mm,
so the famous
Neutrik cinch
plugs can be
used and there
is also a gap
in between.
