Revoxbegeisterte entwickelt
wurde. Es ist der Name für die Entwicklung und Herstellung von Zubehörteilen für Revox- und Studer- Bandmaschinen, in erster Linie für die A77, die B77 und die PR99. Für diesen Namen stehe ich - Ernst Schmid - als ehemaliger Mitarbeiter bei Studer Regensdorf - mit dem Büro für Elektronikentwicklung in München. |

ich? Ich bin selbst großer Revoxfan und beschäftige mich seit 50 Jahren mit diesen schönen Bandmaschinen und besitze auch eine ganze Reihe davon. Meine prägendsten Jahre waren die drei Jahre, die ich in Regensdorf / Schweiz in der Firma Willi Studers arbeitete. Seine Person selbst war die Aufforderung zur Qualität, zur Sorgfalt bei dennoch ökonomischer Produktionsweise, die er durch seine Anwesenheit im Haus, durch seine spontanen Gänge durch die Abteilungen der Firma, und sein Interesse an dem, was gerade gebaut wurde, verbreitete. Worum es mir geht : Die hohe Qualität, die Dauerhaftigkeit und auch die Unverwüstbarkeit der Maschinen fortzuführen und umzusetzen ist mein Anliegen. Ich halte es für zweckmäßig, das, was damals aus Kostengründen nicht eingebaut wurde, aber schon wünschenswert gewesen wäre, jetzt mit minimalem Aufwand nachzurüsten und damit den Bandgeräten von damals den technischen Schliff der heutigen Zeit zu geben. Damit ermögliche ich auch meinen Kunden eine Komplettierung und Aufwertung ihrer Maschine. E.Schmid |

I? I own a lot of Revox tape recorders and use them with great pleasure. As a technician I am impressed how this small tape, coated with ironoxide, can sound so good. I just watch the rotating reels and - that is it ! I worked three years in Willi Studers Revox plant in Regensdorf/Zurich, Switzerland as a designer for test facilities for the Revox A77, A76, and A50 as well as for the new Studer A80. . This is the reason why I love these machines that are built for eternity. My issue is to contribute so that these relicts from the high time of analog audio recording can be used with pleasure with some kind of touch of contemporary technics and real benefits like the Quartz Control of the Capstan speed or the Play-Logik in a Revox A77 to prevent tape breaking. But these modifications should not disturb the surface like the "out of A77 time" LED Counter in a Revox A77 frontplate for example. Keep them working and alive Ernst Schmid |
